The states that were directed to give their reply by a bench led by Justice Ranjan Gogoi are Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Telangana. Except Telangana, the other five states are ruled by the BJP.
